Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Data Analyst to join our team. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making. This role will allow the business to leverage accurate and timely data to drive sales, reduce costs, optimize operations, and improve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Analysis, & Reporting

• Gather and integrate data from various sources, including ERP systems, CRM platforms, and external data feeds.
• Deliver timely, advanced reporting—ad hoc and recurring—to stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and automated reports that communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
• Use data visualization best practices to highlight trends, patterns, and outliers.
• Utilize predictive analytics to proactively identify opportunities/risks, forecast trends, and measure effectiveness.

SQL & Database Management

• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for reporting and analysis.
• Maintain and optimize database structures used for reporting and analysis.

Data Quality & Governance

• Implement best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Monitor data quality metrics, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain data integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as an advisor to leadership and departmental stakeholders, presenting insights and recommendations.
• Translate complex findings into clear, actionable plans for non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.
• Evaluate new tools or methods that can improve efficiency, analysis capabilities, and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (Equivalent work experience & certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree)
• 2 - 4 years of professional experience in a data-centric role (data analysis, business intelligence, data science, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL, reporting tools (SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, etc.), and data manipulation (ETL)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, descriptive analytics, and basic statistics
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, lookups, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interpret complex data for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS) and related services
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation
• Certifications in analytics, BI, or related fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, CompTIA Data )
