Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutrition Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional food service and nutritional care for customers while leading by example and reflecting the agency's mission, vision, and values. The manager oversees all aspects of agency nutrition programs, focusing on menu consistency, cost analysis, customer satisfaction, and effective leadership.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and supervise home-delivered and congregate meal programs.
- Coordinate and manage the meal delivery system.
- Manage and mentor Site Managers and Cooks.
- Foster a culture of volunteerism.
- Ensure menu items have corresponding recipes in the kitchen and that staff is proficient in preparation techniques.
- Adhere to program enrollment procedures and complete necessary reports.
- Partner with a Registered or Licensed Dietician to develop menus that adhere to State and Federal guidelines.
- Order food and supplies while managing the budget.
- Collaborate with cooks on daily meal counts and KDADS requirements.
- Ensure kitchen staff complies with sanitary standards set by KDHE and KDA.
- Monitor program equipment and facilities, requesting maintenance or improvements as needed.
- Implement strategic marketing initiatives for the meal program in alignment with the agency's goals and mission.
- Perform other duties related to nutrition programs as assigned by the Associate Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- ServSafe Certification.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations and nutritional care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

Preferred Education and Experiences
- Registered Dietician (RD) or Licensed Dietician (LD) credentials.
- Three years' experience managing food services or hospitality, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
