Southeast Lineman Training Center (SLTC) is the premier pre-apprentice lineworker trade school dedicated to preparing the next generation of skilled lineworkers. With a focus on safety, innovation, and hands-on training, we empower students to launch fulfilling careers in the utility industry. As part of our mission to attract and inspire aspiring lineworkers, we are looking for a Videographer who will play a critical role in continuing to shape our brand story.
This role is perfect for a passionate storyteller who excels at capturing dynamic, impactful visuals and crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. You will be responsible for producing high-quality video content that showcases our school’s culture, training programs, success stories, and industry partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute video projects that align with our marketing strategies, including promotional videos, student testimonials, training highlights, and social media campaigns
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team, instructors, and students to capture authentic and engaging content that represents our mission and values
- Lead all aspects of video production, including scripting, storyboarding, filming, lighting, sound, and editing
- Oversee the management and maintenance of video production equipment to ensure top-notch quality
- Work with Marketing Director and other Marketing Team members to develop a content calendar for video production and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Create short-form and long-form video content optimized for various platforms, including websites, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
- Stay updated on video production trends and marketing best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant
- Attend all major student activities to capture and create video/ photo assets for social media, YouTube, and graduation. May require some work hours outside of normal business hours.
- Capturing photos of students’ training during the duration of their 15-week (ELP) or 8-week (CLP)
- Creating short and long-form video projects specifically for digital advertising purposes
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma required
- 3 or more years of professional videography and video editing experience, preferably in marketing or education
- Expertise in using professional video equipment, including cameras, drones, lighting, and audio gear
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite including, but not limited to, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video projects, including promotional and documentary-style content
- Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for composition, detail, and pacing
- Ability to manage the entire video production process, from pre-production to post-production
- Experience optimizing video content for social media platforms and understanding platform-specific trends
