Overview
Southeast Lung Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate is numbers-driven, organized, and meticulous, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. This role will support the Administrator in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role is essential in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.
Duties
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Maintain general ledger accounting, including posting debits and credits.
- Prepare regulatory reporting and support governmental accounting initiatives.
- Contribute to accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry of invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
- Assist in general ledger entries, and month-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries as required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist with audits, budget preparation, and forecasting activities.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of account reconciliation and corporate accounting principles.
- Familiarity with general ledger accounting and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in managing accounts receivable and understanding debits and credits.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.
