Overview
Southeast Lung Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Call Center Scheduler specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while addressing inquiries related to medical office operations, scheduling appointments, care plans, and billing. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations will be essential to your success. Experience with AthenaHealth or Phreesia preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls from patients and provide accurate information regarding medical office services, care plans, and schedule/reschedule of appointments for all providers and practice locations.
- Assist patients with inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and ensure all files are updated in accordance with company policies.
- Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to resolve client issues efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or call center environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with care plans, medical appointments and scheduling/rescheduling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in a second language is a plus (bilingual candidates encouraged to apply).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
