Medical Call Center Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Call Center Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a patient-focused attitude, and the ability to handle inquiries efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients with professionalism and courtesy.
• Schedules/reschedules medical appointments.
• Utilize medical terminology to assist patients with healthcare-related inquiries effectively.
• Analyze patient needs and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of patients interactions in our computerized system for future reference.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while ensuring a positive experience for every caller.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferably in a medical call center environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide effective solutions promptly.
• Proficient in using computers and various software applications for data entry and record keeping.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in customer service or healthcare is a plus.
• Athenahealth experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
