Description
The Senior Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for full lifecycle recruitment for all healthcare staff across our organization, including physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical support staff, and administrative leadership. This role requires deep healthcare industry knowledge, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to implement innovative recruitment strategies that meet the unique staffing needs of healthcare environments. The position reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition.
Requirements
Strategic Recruitment
- Design and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies for diverse healthcare roles, from physicians and clinical specialists to administrative leadership
- Partner with hiring managers to understand departmental needs, position requirements, and organizational growth plans
- Develop targeted sourcing approaches for difficult-to-fill healthcare positions
- Analyze healthcare market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor recruiting practices
- Establish and maintain talent pipelines for critical and high-turnover positions
Candidate Management
- Execute full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination
- Evaluate clinical credentials, licensure requirements, and healthcare-specific qualifications
- Conduct behavioral and technical interviews to assess both clinical competency and cultural fit
- Maintain detailed documentation of candidate interactions and qualifications in ATS
- Provide exceptional candidate experience through clear communication and efficient processes
Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with healthcare educational programs, professional associations, and industry networks
- Collaborate with credentialing teams to ensure smooth transition from recruitment to practice
- Partner with hiring managers to refine job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Represent the organization at healthcare career fairs, professional conferences, and networking events
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on healthcare recruitment best practices
Program Development & Metrics
- Track and report key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop innovative approaches to address healthcare-specific recruitment challenges
- Maintain compliance with healthcare credentialing requirements and employment regulations
- Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance reputation within healthcare communities
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- 5 years of progressive recruitment experience with at least 3 years specifically in healthcare recruitment (and >1yr experience in APP/Physician Recruitment)
- Demonstrated success recruiting for diverse healthcare roles (clinical, technical, and administrative)
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare credentialing, licensure requirements, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technologies
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends and workforce challenges
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to understand clinical terminology and position requirements
Preferred
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Healthcare recruitment certification (e.g., AIRS, SHRM)
- Experience with physician and executive-level recruitment
- Knowledge of medical staff privileging and credentialing processes
- Experience with recruitment marketing and employer branding
- Background in healthcare or clinical practice

Working Conditions
