Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Data Analyst. This role involves analytics, data entry, report generation, and process development, ensuring seamless integration and efficient revenue cycle management (RCM). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in navigating system reporting, identifying revenue cycle trends, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract and analyze relevant data from standard practice management reports, leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform weekly analyses and monitor key metrics to identify claim trends related to charges, payments, accounts receivable (A/R), and unlocked charts.
- Deliver comprehensive month-end analysis to Senior Vice President and/or CFO for all company RCM data reporting.
- Document reporting requirements and functionalities to support process development and scalability.
- Complete project assignments, dashboards, and deliverables in a timely manner to ensure continuous RCM support.
- Recognize and communicate revenue cycle trends based on diverse data sources.
- Support vendor operations by facilitating communication with the director and developing standard operating procedures for billing processes.
- Provide recommendations based on identified patterns and trends to meet RCM objectives and deliverables.
- Collaborate with leadership to publish projects and updates for vendors, ensuring alignment with RCM goals.
- Runs, reviews, interprets, analyzes, and validates Revenue Cycle reports
Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas).
- B.S. Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management or Business Administration
- 5 years of demonstrated experience and skills to allow for ability to work independently..
- Proven ability to identify and analyze revenue cycle trends, including payer remark codes, denial codes, and claim-level data.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to present insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and documentation.
- Comfortability with creating dashboards utilizing excel, PowerBI, or another data comprehensive tool that provides insight to all Revenue activities.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in revenue cycle management, analytics, and healthcare practice management system (including eClinicalWorks, Waystar, Allscripts, and Payerpath and others as needed).
- Has detailed knowledge of core Revenue Cycle systems and all bolt on software solutions
