Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center for Diagnosis and TreatmentFull time Duties and Responsibilities :
- Room patients being seen for medical follow-up and diagnostic evaluations
- Obtain patient vitals and complete other designated nursing responsibilities
- Assist with coordination of diagnostic and medical follow-up clinic flow
- Triage patient phone calls and assist with family resource navigation
- Perform appropriate charting and upload necessary patient-related documents to electronic medical records system with attention to detail
- Complete authorizations, referrals and orders in collaboration with and under direction of diagnostic clinician(s)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and other professionals
- High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed as a practical nurse (LPN) in the state of Missouri
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Experience working in a pediatric clinic and / or with children with developmental disabilities a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
