Assistant Football Coach – Offensive CoordinatorDepartment of Intercollegiate AthleticsFull Time/TermThe Football Offensive Coordinator will assist the head football coach in leading, developing, and mentoring the collegiate football team, striving for competitive excellence in intercollegiate athletics. The role also assists the head football coach foster a comprehensive program that promotes athletic success, academic achievement, and personal growth for all team members. Primary ResponsibilitiesDesigns and executes offensive game plans, schemes, and adjustments that align with the program’s philosophy and maximize team performanceProvides technical instruction, skill development, and leadership training to student-athletes, fostering their growth both on and off the fieldAnalyzes game and practice film to assess team performance, scout opponents, and implement data-driven improvements in offensive strategyAssists in recruiting and retaining student-athletes who align with the program values and athletic standards while contributing to overall program development and operation support
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor’s DegreeFive (5) years of collegiate coaching experience; previous Offensive Coordinator experience is a plusExcellent organization skills and attention to detailDemonstrated ability to work with students, faculty, staff, community, and mediaDemonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulationsDemonstrated ability to recruit qualified student-athletesStrong interpersonal, verbal, and writing communication skillsAbility to travel extensively with or without accommodations and work alternate work schedules including evenings and weekendsDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships within and external to the organizationDemonstrated experience and understanding of customer serviceAbility to manage multiple tasks and actively participate in practice
