Southeast Neurology and Pain Management is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role as they provide a first impression for our patients. The receptionist performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties such as patient check-in / check-out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, conducting insurance verifications, processing medical records requests, etc.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is organized, motivated, dependable and is committed to providing excellent customer service. You must be able to multi-task, problem solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior medical experience is required.
We offer a great work week of Monday through Thursday 7:00 am-5:00 pm, a competitive salary and a generous benefits package including:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greet patients with a smile and a helpful attitude
· Manage front office functions including check-in/check-out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, balancing cash drawer daily, etc.
· Answer phones in a pleasant and helpful manner
· Process medical records requests
· Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School graduate
· 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting
· Strong knowledge of insurance policies and medical terminology
· Excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills
· Dependable, adaptable/flexible, detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
