We are seeking an experienced Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Trainer to join our team at Southeast New Mexico College. As a key member of our workforce development department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for mine employees and contractors. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with MSHA standards and meet the needs of local and regional employers.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement MSHA training programs
• Coordinate with industry representatives to determine workforce needs
• Assess industry skills training needs and provide comprehensive evaluations
• Develop relationships with training providers and instructors
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Extensive knowledge of 30 CFR 46, 47, 48, 56, 57, 58, the Mine Act of 1977, and relevant standards and laws
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
