What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Southeast Petro's Corporate Office?
The Accountant position is responsible for assisting various departments in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization, as directed by the Controller.
Essential Functions

- · Apply a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- · Help to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- · Maintain system of daily data collection from stores and entering into financial ledger
- · Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- · Interface with other departments to verify transaction report data and issues.
- · Respond to inquiries from the department manager regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
- · Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- · Maintaining accounts receivable, document bills and supporting documentation
- · Updating financial records via accounting software
- · Analyzing financial statements and preparing balance sheets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting.
Required Experience
- · Must have experience with Microsoft Excel
- · MS GP experience is preferred.
- · Strong verbal and written communication skills
- · Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
- · Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
