Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Robotics Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of IBAK, Cues, Tri-Tec, Prokasro Aries cutters, and camera systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, electronics, and mechanical systems, with a focus on municipal sewer inspection and rehabilitation equipment. The Robotics Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of cutting and camera systems, providing both in-house and on-site technical support, and working closely with customers and team members to meet project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of robotic cutters and camera systems from brands such as IBAK, Cues, Tri-Tec, Prokasro Aries.
- Conduct routine inspections, adjustments, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance of robotic equipment.
- Assist with the installation and configuration of robotic systems in various environments, including municipal sewers and other underground infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and operators on proper usage, maintenance, and safety procedures for robotic cutters and camera systems.
- Calibrate and test robotic equipment to ensure accurate functionality and performance.
- Work closely with engineers, field service teams, and clients to diagnose and solve technical issues promptly.
- Keep detailed service logs and maintenance records for all equipment handled.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and software updates related to robotic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures while working on job sites and with hazardous equipment.
- Travel to customer locations as needed for on-site support, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certification in Robotics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems as applied to robotic equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing robotic and camera systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Knowledge of sewer infrastructure and underground pipeline inspection methods is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites and work in confined spaces or challenging environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in field service roles related to robotics, especially in the utility or wastewater industry.
- 2 years of experience working with IBAK, Cues, Tri-Tec, Prokasro Aries, or similar robotic cutters and camera systems in the sewer inspection or utility industry.
- Familiarity with software programming and control systems related to robotic inspection tools.
- Certification in confined space entry and safety procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
