Preschool Dance Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Dance Teacher to join our team. We have a need for 2-4 classes on Wednesday afternoons for ages 2.5-7.

The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires creativity, enthusiasm and the ability to engage young children throughout class.

Dance styles are Beginner Creative Movement, Beginner Ballet/Tap combo classes, and Beginner Tumbling classes. Due to the young ages, the technique is very simple; the most important quality we're looking for is someone who enjoys working with ages 2.5-7. SESD can assist with lesson planning, choreography (if needed), etc.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while maintaining order and also teaching boundaries and spatial awareness.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior among students.
• Foster positive relationships with students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom that reflects the children's work and promotes a sense of belonging.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children in an educational/dance setting is essential.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies to effectively guide student behavior.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• A genuine love for teaching and nurturing young minds.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
