What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charter Driver position at Southeast - STA?
Student Transportation Inc. is North America’s safest independent provider of school bus transportation services, with an industry-leading safety rating. As a Charter Bus Driver for SchoolWheels Direct, you will be under the supervision of a manager, dispatcher or trainer. In this role, you will be operating a school bus transporting clients for various charter trips for local schools and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Transport clients to various locations.
- Ensuring safe transportation of all passengers on the bus.
- Ensuring the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Providing friendly courteous service to our customers.
- Maintain compliance with all Student Transportation of America/ School Wheels Direct safety operating procedures.
- Maintain professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- Must be over the age of 21.
- Must have Class B CDL with School Bus, Air Brake, and Passenger endorsement
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Maintain proper driving credentials..
- Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
- Must be professional and punctual.
- No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures.
- Passion for working with children.
