What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Supervisor position at Southeast Texas HR?
Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to join our client's team in the Hospital & Health Care industry. As a Dietary Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of the Cafeteria, assuring proper procedures are being followed, restocking of food items, and correct menus are in place, as well as helping out where needed to assure proper staffing levels are met. You must be able to work weekends. This can become a temp-to-perm position for the ideal candidate. Pay will be $15.32 DOE.
Responsibilities
- Assures all policy and procedures regarding food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Orders all supplies for the unit and maintains inventory levels sufficient to supply all areas of the hospital.
- Completes monthly inventory and turns in report on time.
- Prints proper labels, signings, recipes and menus for daily/weekly use.
- Assures Cashiers are following proper procedures, performing audits and closing out registers. In addition ensuring that all required paperwork and deposits are completed following protocol.
- Maintains equipment and work areas assuring any preventive maintenance takes place when needed.
- Ensures all shifts are covered or be prepared to step in and work in position.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in supervision of cashiers in the retail or hospital setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain your immunization records.

Pay: $15.32 per hour
