Southeast Texas HR is seeking a Machine Shop Inspector to join our team. In this role, you must be able to support the overall workload of the shop. Your objective will be to ensure the accuracy of machined parts and components and meet the needs and expectations of the customers. The pay will be $22-29 per hour based on your experience. This a temp-to-hire position M-F, 7a-3 : 30p, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications in order to be able to inspect manufactured parts.
  • Inspect manufactured parts for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards while

ensuring print tolerances are as expected.

  • Record inspection data as needed in a legible format.
  • Use required tolerance equipment and tools as necessary, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Generate NCR's for parts that are not conforming to specifications.
  • Maintain and update calibration log for al instruments in the shop and final inspection.
  • Support operations in getting the hydro reports completed.

    • Requirements

    To be considered for this position you must meet the following :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 or more years of machining or manufacturing inspection experience.
  • 2 years of quality inspection experience.
  • Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong computer and data skills to record processes and inspections.
  • Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug testing, and work physical.
