Job Description
Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Outpatient Billing Specialist to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. As a leader in recruiting and HR services, we provide excellent career opportunities for candidates with the right skills and experience.
Ensures that all claims are billed timely and accurately. Works remittance and rejection reports daily to identify issues. Processes appeals when applicable. Hours M-F 8 : 00-4 : 30 Lunch 12-12 : 30. Pay will be $14 depending on experience.
The responsibilities of the Outpatient Billing Specialist are :
- Assures patient's demographics and insurance information is entered correctly.
- Responsible for entering charges promptly from provider.
- Communicates with providers on a daily basis to ensure documentation is complete for charges to be processed.
- Reviews all charges upon receiving to ensure the correct CPT codes are getting billed for services provided.
- Provides weekly and monthly reports for billed charges as assigned.
- Ensures all charges have the correct ICD-10 codes to support the services being billed.
