The Instructional Design Team is looking for someone to join our team in a part-time role. The vision of the Instructional Design team is to assist SEBTS faculty in creating effective online courses. When we serve our faculty, we go out of our way to solve problems and find solutions as we seek to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission.
We are looking for a part-time instructional design specialist who is interested in:
(1) Joining a dynamic and collaborative team as we constantly research ways to innovate in the areas of instructional design and online education.
(2) Serving and guiding our faculty as they create classes in a variety of modalities.
(3) Serving the faculty support specialists as we partner with them to support faculty in the regular administration of their classes in our Learning Management System.
We are looking for a person who has excellent communication skills, can meet deadlines, and can manage multiple projects at different stages. Duties and responsibilities include:

Managing the course development timeline, explaining and interpreting accreditation standards and expectations, and executing a vision for what is possible through innovative education in both the physical and virtual classroom.

Working within the established project management structures for the instructional design team. Attention to detail, and keeping detailed records are a must.

This person will need to develop a thorough knowledge of our learning management system and best practices for pedagogy across multiple modalities relative to higher education.

Researching and communicating best practices for online classes, online course development, blended-format courses, and synchronous classes.
Preferred skills:

Prior experience in customer service and/or project management.

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Forms) and an eagerness to learn new systems such as CampusNet, Panopto, and others.

Attention to detail. This person will manage multiple projects at different stages.

Problem-solving. This job requires the ability to think of creative solutions, so we can assist faculty as they provide the best experience for students.

Innovation: this person should be able to “think outside the box” as we assist faculty with designing their classes.
This is a part-time hourly position in Wake Forest, NC. The pay rate is $12/hour.
