POSITION: Maintenance Supervisor

LOCATION: Southeastern Career Center

Job Description:

• Promote good public relations for SCC and the community.
• Work closely with building administrators so the facility can be maintained according to the highest standards as possible.
• Supervise outdoor maintenance and grounds of campus.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in proper working condition.
• Maintain supplies and equipment inventory necessary for operations relevant to this position.
• Monitor fuel and water usage, air handling, sewage costs, HVAC and other cost effective areas related to the SCC campus.
• Monitor and keep record of progress of special projects being done and report to the Director/Superintendent.
• Perform general maintenance and building repairs.
• Manage grounds, including sidewalks, driveways and parking lot areas are neat and clean. During winter months, shovel, plow and salt.
• Manage, problem solve and determine solutions to problems as they arise.
• Supervise maintenance assistant and custodians.
• Make periodic evaluations of employees and provide reports to administration.
• Provide in-service training programs for assigned staff members.
• Plan the work schedule for maintenance assistant and custodians.
• Create a schedule annually for fall, spring, winter and summer break.
• Utilize Google for scheduling and communication
• Report to Director/Superintendent.
• Attend to other duties as directed by the Director/Superintendent.
