Overview:
As a Cyber Security Specialist 2, you will implement and maintain all Information Technology (IT) related security systems including firewalls, email security, network access control, VPN access, endpoint security, and user Account management. Test and evaluate IT security hardware and software systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. Analyze and resolve IT security related issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the security management and administration of all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software. Assist in the security management of communications and connection solutions, including local area network, Company website, intranet, and internet applications. Install, upgrade, maintain, and monitor software and hardware related to email security. Manage and ensure the integrity of host computers, multiple databases, and data transfer. Deploy and maintain firewalls, cryptography systems, and all host security activities. Monitor and assist with endpoint security and manage and maintain remote access capabilities. Provide on-call technical support. Analyze security related application usage to plan for growth or increases in capacity. Assess need for any system reconfigurations and execute them if required. Assist with ensuring connectivity of all devices and endpoints. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services related to IT security. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for IT security administration and appropriate use. Assist with network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Schedule and perform software improvements and upgrades. Communicate and work with external vendors for product and service research and support.
Qualifications:
For tihs role, you will need to have an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, 5 years of Information Technology/security experience, previous hands-on troubleshooting experience, 3 years of experience working with cyber security software and services. We would prefer for you to have 8 years of Information Technology/security experience, 5 years of experience working with cyber security software and services and previous experience with Cortex XDR Pro or a similar product, Jira or other Service Management software experience.
