What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Care Assistant position at Southeastern Health?
An Enrolled student in good standing of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program affiliated with Southeastern Regional Medical Center. The educational institution will verify that the student is in good standing and has successfully completed a competency evaluation that certifies the student to be competent in Respiratory Care Procedures as defined by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board.
- Over 1 year active student in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program
- 2nd year Respiratory student (senior)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; renewal required bi-annually.
- Active licensure with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board upon hire (RCA).
- Advance Life Support Certification (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire : renewal required.
To remain in good standing with the State Board and to continue as a Respiratory Care Assistant, a minimum grade of at least 2.0 in all RCP courses, and an overall average of 2.0 must be maintained.
The educational institution also will verify that the student has successfully completed a competency evaluation that certifies the student to be competent in the following Respiratory Care Procedures :
