What are the responsibilities and job description for the ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST position at Southeastern Health?
Produces ultrasonic images and participates in special studies under the clinical direction of a Radiologist or Physician. Evaluates quality of ultrasonic images. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
- EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE :
- Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) with up to date continuing education credits, or ARRT with equivalent training or experience.
- BCLS certified; recertification required annually.

Minimum Required :
Graduation from a CAHEA (AMA) accredited radiography program, or its ultrasound equivalent.
Breast Registry preferred, or one year to obtain …Associate Degree in ultrasound technology or radiography, with prior experience as a medical sonographer.
