HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Under the direction of the Youth Experience Director, the Instructor creates and implements age-appropriate skill trainings for participants that meet the YMCA mission and standards as well as character development values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
Under the direction of the Youth Experience Director, the Instructor creates and implements age-appropriate skill trainings for participants that meet the YMCA mission and standards as well as character development values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
- Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
- Develop, implement, and supervise curriculum for a program which promotes the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of participants.
- Effectively communicate with parents on participant’s skills and character. Maintains working knowledge of program and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
- Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of and participation in program.
- Other Duties: Assigned as necessary by the Youth Experience Director and Director of Youth Services.
- Training, Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience
- Program specific experience required
- Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED
