We are looking for an accountable Project coordinator to join our team.
Our company has over a decade long years of experience with a successful track record in real estate development, commercial and Government projects. We have offices in FL, AL, and MS with exciting opportunities for growth. 90% of our employees have been with the company for over 5 years.
The qualified individual's primary responsibility will be to assist Project Managers in the multiple construction management and technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. The secondary duties will be to assist in estimating new projects. These responsibilities include reviewing solicitations, gathering subcontract and vendor quotations, and preparation of the estimate
Some projects will be at government facilities so the ability to pass background checks to gain clearance to government base and facilities is a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Review Solicitations and RFP's for requirements
- Do quantity take offs per plans and specs, solicit quotations form subcontractors and vendors, evaluate quotations, and assemble estimate/proposal.
- Prepare schedules, submittals, subcontracts, estimates and assist in coordination and monitor of assigned construction projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications of USACE.
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, submittals) and report regularly on project status to Project Manager.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Attend weekly update meetings and coordinate subcontractors with onsite Superintendent
Skills
- Entry level to Proven working experience as an estimator/project engineer in the construction field
- MS Office skills.
- Adobe Acrobat skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Construction Project management and supervision skills
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- Time management and organization skills
- BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year
