Summary :
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Marketing Specialist / Liaison provides a vital role in educating the public regarding Behavioral Health and Substance Use Services, the philosophy of the program, reimbursement issues and criteria, and the referral process. The Marketing Specialist / Liaison fosters relationships with all resources in the community and becomes a liaison between the agency and those resources and provides feedback to the agency. This role is a vital component in ensuring appropriate referrals are received and taken.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Acts as liaison between SEIC and the referral sources within the community
- Develop and implement business plan for relationship management of agency referral accounts
- Conducts community education seminars, workshops, in-services as needed
- Makes visits / calls to referral sources providing behavioral health education and conducting related presentations
- Visits educational institutions, churches, businesses, etc. to provide educational programs when requested
- Identify and utilize cultural and community resources. Establish and maintain relationships with identified service providers
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a superior customer service program
- Assists in recruitment activities and orientation for new staff as needed
- Assists in conducting market research activities to identify targeted populations and to identify the appropriate media for distribution of promotional information
- Works with the Executive Director to coordinate media costs and assist with development of printed promotional materials, i.e., brochures, etc.
- Performs other duties as requested
