Southeastern Louisiana University's Classic Upward Bound program invites applicants for the position of Outreach Specialist. The Outreach Specialist for Upward Bound St. Helena Washington Parishes (one serving 100%) will work to deliver services to youth on the target school campuses. They will work with personnel at outreach sites to develop participants' needs assessments and educational plans and provide services to meet the needs identified.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by hire date
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
TRIO experience preferred
One year of experience in educational or grants administration, or two years' experience in an educational setting or direct program setting
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with low-income and first-generation students in postsecondary environments
Experience with and / or knowledge of programs that serve similar student populations
