Southeastern Marine, Yacht Power and Boatyard repair center are a growing and well-respected manufacturer-certified marine servicing dealers that are the leaders in the markets we serve. We are Florida’s leading Mobile Marine service provider for marine Engine & Propulsion, Generators, Stabilizers as well as full-service Boatyard at our St. Pete location.
We are seeking a Manager of Finance & Administration to oversee accounting, financial reporting, payroll, HR, facilities, budget preparation, inventory, audits, analysis and other administrative responsibilities with direct reporting to ownership.
This position will have company-wide responsibilities across all four locations and be integral to the overall management of the companies. While primarily housed out of St. Petersburg, FL, travel to Sarasota and Pensacola locations will occasionally be required as well as potential travel to industry events, vendors and customers may be required at times.
Boat knowledge and experience is ideal but not required for the right candidate. However, a plus for a boater given generous company discounts and priority access to boat repair.

Great work hours 7:30 - 4:00 PM Monday-Friday with company paid holidays. However, must be available to administer key month-end system and reporting responsibilities the last day of each month.
Key responsibilities may include:
Financial Management
- Preparing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis. Preparing necessary journal entries and managing month-end and annual close.
- Cash flow forecasting, establishing, tracking and managing to targeted financial ratios and meeting financial goals.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial assets, inventory, bank deposits, petty cash, etc.
- Hands on management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections including ongoing monitoring of open repair orders and parts tickets for timely close.
- Implementing best practices in these areas including 3-way matching and validating assignment of parts to orders.
- Manage SGA expenses and COGS to achieve targeted Gross & Net Profit targets.
- Coordinating with external auditors for annual audits and compliance.
Administrative Oversight
- Managing administrative functions such as office operations, facilities management, vendor contracts and procurement.
- Overall parts department inventory and operational performance.
- Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures as well as weekly payroll, benefits and PTO administration, including compliance with labor laws.
- Document and filing related items such as sales tax reporting/management, licensing, fees, vehicle registrations, vendor forms/registration
- Vendor matters such as forms, administration, rebates and targets.
Strategic Planning
- Develop strategic plans and financial projections with ownership.
- Analyzing financial and operational data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
- Presenting financial information to ownership.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to administrative functions, including sales tax reporting, licensing, insurance compliance.
- Vendor and dealership contracts and compliance matters.
There may be other administrative matters as assigned by ownership. Since this is a senior reporting role, expected proactive oversight to other areas as identified.
Compensation will be commiserate with experience and qualifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as CFO, Director/Manager of Finance, Controller, Accounting Manager with documented experience of the above.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
