Job description
Responsibilities:
- Directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including but not limited to, inspecting, cleaning, organizing, re-stocking and ordering of all necessary items
- Manage fleet vehicles/equipment and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and organize products
- Reviewing daily schedules to determine the parts, equipment, material necessary to complete the work on the tickets on the schedule.
- Inspecting job sites (including taking measurements, checking framing, checking jobsite conditions and coordination of work with general contractors/customers)
- Evaluating ongoing or completed jobs to assure work is performed in accordance with quality standards
- Answering phone calls, assisting customers and entering data in software systems
- Delivering parts, equipment and/or material to technicians in the field as needed
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks
- Training helpers, including on-the-job training and evaluation of new hires
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management in the daily operation of business
Requirements:
- High school diploma required. Industry experience preferred
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation and other warehouse equipment
- Positive attitude
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
- Industry knowledge and project management preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
