As a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities Include
- Lead all activities related to shipping and receiving processes.
- Planning, organizing, and managing subordinate staff members to ensure work is completed and consistent with the company's standards.
- Knowledge of BOL's
- Moves raw material in warehouse with use of forklift.
- Unloads and loads tractor trailers in a safe and productive manner.
- Load and Unload paper rolls and bails of paper.
- Locate product from inbound trucks and rail cars in warehouse and stage product using computerized system.
- Load and unload trucks based on schedule given by warehouse manager and/or logistics group.
- Coordinate and oversee all shipping & receiving functions for the facility. Follow procedure for bill of lading for incoming materials.
- Grading of incoming materials and final inspection of materials before shipping.
- Coordinate lift truck routes and responsibilities with other lift drivers to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Learn material paper grades.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections.
- Learn use of internal inventory system
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- 3-5 years of forklift experience required.
- 2-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Clamp truck experience is a plus but not a requirement.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation and procedures.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment strongly preferred.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass a basic math proficiency test.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment which is hot in the summer months and comfortable during cooler weather.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment that can become very dusty.
- Must be very teamwork oriented.
- Must be able to lift between 50 to 75 lbs, repetitively without assistance.
- Must be able to stand, walk, twist and bend constantly to complete job tasks.
