Under supervision of Supervisor, Building Services, processes and distributes mail on an Authority-wide basis. Operates, maintains and supplies reproduction, mailing, and facsimile machines. Operates vehicle to deliver and pick-up mail throughout Authority locations and the local U.S. Post Office. Creates and maintains up-to-date employee inter-office mailing lists utilizing a personal computer.

Overall Description
Under supervision of Supervisor, Building Services, processes and distributes mail on an Authority-wide basis. Operates, maintains and supplies reproduction, mailing, and facsimile machines. Operates vehicle to deliver and pick-up mail throughout Authority locations and the local U.S. Post Office. Creates and maintains up-to-date employee inter-office mailing lists utilizing a personal computer.
Specific Responsibilities
- Prepares, delivers and picks-up inter-office mail at Authority locations daily. Processes mail received from other locations on a daily basis. Delivers and picks-up internal mail on a continuous basis throughout the 1234 Market facility.
- Weighs and meters all outgoing U.S. Mail. Delivers and picks-up to and from the U.S. Post Office daily. Processes certified, insured, registered and special handling mail as the need arises. Signs for and delivers special U.S. Postal Express packages to addressees immediately.
- Processes checks and W-2s from Finance Department for mailing to staff vendors and other large volume mailings promptly. Prioritizes other duties around large volume mailings.
- Redirects internal and U.S. Mail which is improperly addressed.
- Starts up and operates reproduction equipment machines for high volume work requests. Troubleshoots inoperable copier machines prior to placing service calls. Records down time, replenishes copy toner and other supplies at central copy room, as well as at all satellite copy rooms throughout the facility. Assists new users when required.
- Creates and maintains up-to-date employee inter-office mailing lists utilizing a personal computer.
- Signs for, records and delivers office supplies received from storeroom to any addressee in the building.
- Visually inspects mail delivery vehicle, including checking of fuel/oil gauges before removing vehicle from property. Reports any damage in accordance with related Authority Policy/Instruction when necessary. Schedules with Supervisor, Building Services any maintenance necessary.
- Logs certified mail and special handling materials.
- Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Possesses a current, valid driver's license with two-years of safe driving.
- Become familiar with all Authority locations, departments, and personnel serviced by mailroom. Operations of machines. Knowledge of basic computer software such as Microsoft Office. Basic clerical and math skills.
- Passenger type vehicle 45%, Reproduction machines 20%, mail cart 25%, Personal Computer 10%
- Standing, walking, climbing stairs, pushing mail cart, and moving about.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
- Subject to inclement weather, must adjust to various traffic and road conditions.
