Overall Description

Sweeps, cleans, deep cleans, and / or handwashes interior and exterior of vehicles. Operates passenger vehicle in and around Authority locations. Cleans shop areas, restrooms, and other areas as required. Performs other duties as required including loading / unloading trash.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (not Limited To)

• Must be proficient in the cleaning of vehicles and all areas of the locations listed above, including but not limited to shop areas, restrooms, administrative areas, etc.
• Operates passenger vehicle in and around Authority locations.
• Scrapes, cleans, and buffs floors, walls, and walkways at all SEPTA facilities.
• Removes snow and ice from vehicle parking areas and walkways, as instructed and needed.
• Sweeps, cleans, washes vehicle interior, exteriors.
• Polices premises for debris, trash, and scrap loads into truck for removal.
• Complies with all Authority, departmental safety, security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and /or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Must have the ability to understand and execute written and verbal orders, while providing the utmost customer service at all times.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license or equivalent.
• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Preferably possess two (2 ) years’ of relevant work experience including commercial cleaning and / or janitorial services.
• Candidates must be flexible with their schedules. The Authority operates 24hrs / 7days, weekends, and holidays; coverage is mandatory.
