Position Responsibilities :
- Establish and maintain a classroom culture of safety, strong work ethic, and respect.
Implement daily lesson plans to teach skills required in the Medical Assisting field.
Provide immediate supervision to all students to ensure they safely and effectively operate the wide range of Medical Assisting tools and equipment.
Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and comprehension.
Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development.
Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and to evaluate training effectiveness.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, colleagues, staff, and administrators
Qualifications : Qualified applicants must possess a Chapter 74 Medical Assisting Teaching license from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or meet the criteria for licensure, which include :
Current national certification as a medical assistant or medical assistant / secretary
Four years of full-time employment experience directly related to medical assisting
Associate degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught.
Achieve a passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTLST).
