DESCRIPTION:
Extended Day PreSchool Paraprofessional (part-time: morning & afternoon)
Hours: 7:00-8:30 A.M. & 1:30-3:00P.M.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The individual is responsible for supervising preschool children before and after school for the extended day program. Preschool Paraprofessional : Child Ratio 1:10.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise children during activities, transitions, and free play.
Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
Collaborate with teachers, and staff, to support children's learning and well-being
Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
Prepare materials and set up the classroom for activities.
Assist with daily routines, such as snack time and cleanup.
Follow school policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
Department of Early Education & Care (DEEC) Teacher Certification required
CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
CPR/First Aid Certification Preferred
Salary : $22 - $30
