As a Registered Nurse (RN) at SRD, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of the Unit Nurse Manager and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), while providing care and treatment to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Duties as a Dialysis RN.
Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include completing and documenting physical assessments before and after treatments and monitoring patients during treatment. You will ensure quality renal care by completing monthly reviews of patient medication profiles and administering medications according to physician orders.
Teamwork. You will be a critical member of an interdisciplinary team to provide all required patient assessment and care planning activities. You will also make sure center staffing requirements are always met under the direction of the Administrator and in accordance with state regulations for staffing ratios.
Safety & Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of the Unit Nurse Manager, you will adhere to all company policies and procedures and state and federal laws and regulations. You will be required to participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
Qualifications we are looking for in an RN.
- Current nursing license in the applicable state.
- Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- One or more years of current nursing experience preferred.
- Previous dialysis nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and write and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of staff members in a positive manner.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
