The Paraprofessional supports teachers, clinicians, or other professionals in delivering educational, behavioral, or therapeutic services to individuals or groups. This role involves working closely with clients, students, or patients to ensure they receive quality care and support while fostering growth, learning, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Education or Classroom Support
Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
Provide one-on-one or small-group support for students with special needs or learning difficulties.
Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
Support students with daily activities, including transitions, meals, or hygiene tasks as needed.
Behavioral or Therapeutic Support.
Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), or therapy plans.
Monitor and manage behavioral challenges in collaboration with professionals.
Document and report observations to the supervising teacher, therapist, or case manager.
Participate in team meetings to discuss client or student progress.
General Responsibilities:
Build positive and supportive relationships with clients, students, or patients.
Provide encouragement and support to foster independence and self-confidence.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Perform administrative tasks, such as preparing materials or maintaining records, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Associate's degree or coursework in Education, Psychology, Social Work
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.90 - $14.75 per hour
