JOB SUMMARY
Oversees the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the University fleet. Responsibilities may include performing pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles (including conducting yearly audits to assess fleet condition); completing forms, reports, and logs; dispensing fuels; performing minor vehicle and golf cart repairs and scheduling major repairs;
coordinating reservations.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Director of Special Projects and Purchasing

Indirect Supervisory Responsibility: N/A
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but is not limited to the following:
Ensures the SEU Fleet of vehicles is properly serviced and maintained.
Manages the fleet reservation software and calendar.
Effectively communicates and coordinates the reservation process with SEU staff and faculty.
Provides minor repair to SEU fleet of golf carts and ensures proper bill back to departments.
Coordinates the pickup, delivery, and payment for outsourced golf cart repair with SEU approved repair facilities.
Related duties as assigned.
Completes forms, reports, and logs.
Performs or coordinates vehicle cleaning duties.
Assist with breakdowns; coordinating towing and drop off locations (including after hours and weekends included).
Some travel to pick up fleet vehicles after breakdown repair.
ADDITIONAL/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.

Required Education:
High School/GED
Preferred Education:
Some college experience preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required - Class B CDL for transporting unoccupied buses and other vehicles for maintenance.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
A minimum of 3 years of Class B CDL driving and minor maintenance experience. Experience using computer technology, electronic forms and spreadsheets.
Preferred:
A minimum of 5 years of Class B CDL driving and minor maintenance experience. Experience using computer technology, electronic forms and spreadsheets, including Google Sheets and Google Forms.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Possesses minor mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with computer technology, including Google and Microsoft products.
Good communication and decision making.
Clean driving record.
CDL license.
Must align with the mission, vision and values of Southeastern University.
Preferred:
Time Management skills
Knowledge of Google Suite, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Forms
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Requirements:
- Vision: Drivers must have at least 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses.
- Hearing: Drivers must have a hearing ability that allows you to understand speech at a normal conversational level.
- Endurance: Drivers must be able to sit and steer for extended periods, climb in and out of the bus/vehicle; lift vehicle batteries and install; inspect the vehicle and cargo, push/pull/drag/bend/stoop for extended periods.
- Medical: Must be able to pass the DOT medical exam to maintain the CDL active licensure.

Minimal, up to 5%
Schedule:
M-F 8am to 4:30pm
Saturday-Sunday on move in/out weekends.
TRAINING
All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. SCREENING
All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the Universitys insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
