Job Summary- Complete a written cleaning schedule using established standards.
- Dust horizontal surfaces that collect dust, empty wastebaskets, remove trash and clean waste baskets.
- Transport trash from utility rooms and other collection points to compactor pick up area.
- Projects cleaning of light fixtures, windows, vents, taking down curtains and washing damp wipe furniture, clean and polish metal and porcelain fixtures in restrooms, sanitize phones and other office surfaces, replenish room supplies.
- Sanitize and make beds as assigned.
- Perform �check out� terminal cleaning as assigned, dry and wet mop hard surface floors, buff floors, scrub floors with automatic machine, refinish floors to glossy appearance, vacuum and shampoo carpets, remove spots from carpet recognizing the cause and material of soiling and/or sort and remove with proper chemicals, maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and have repairs made when needed.
- Observe and report the need for repairs to hospital equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
- Willingly perform any other tasks, which may be assigned by the Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services.
- Use all chemicals properly.
- May be working in patient care areas around patients of all ages and require recognition that different age groups require specialized attention or care.
- Will be required to clean surfaces that are contaminated with blood and body fluids/tissue.
- May be required to climb and work off a ladder.
- Assist on outside grounds as needed throughout the year.
- Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
