The Parts Delivery Driver drives company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts in the local area. He or she transports products from local parts sources and delivers them to our dealership. Most importantly and without exception, the Delivery Driver operates within the legal speed limits, in a safe fashion at all times, and in a timely manner. This is a FULL-TIME position with scheduled hours Monday - Friday from 8AM - 5PM and every 4th Saturday from 8AM - 1PM. You will also consult with Parts Managers, your co-workers at the Parts Counters, and other Wholesale Reps to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries. The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, and can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles. He or she must have basic mechanical skills to perform minor vehicle maintenance, such as checking and topping off fluid levels, maintaining tire pressure, performing vehicle safety checks (visual inspection of wipers, tires, etc.), and maintaining the vehicle in a clean condition (interior and exterior). Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership using company vehicles and following all company procedures and standards
- Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks
- Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road
- Completes any reports or logs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Can drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
