Role Summary:
Researches, develops, and implements solutions to processes and software utilized throughout the Mortgage Business line. Partners with assigned business lines and IT team to extract and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources to produce performance analysis and trending reports to effectively resolve business line challenges and predict future trends. Serves as an IT support liaison for Southern Bank Mortgage employees requiring technical assistance when using bank systems, applications and hardware.
Specific Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):
- Develop a thorough understanding of existing analytics, data infrastructure and existing reporting system relationships.
- Install, configure, and support mortgage systems software for origination and servicing teams within the mortgage division.
- Lead vendor partnerships to communicate requirements and proactively drive outcomes and resolutions of issues or defects.
- Serve as primary administrator for mortgage software as well as bank systems utilized by mortgage (i.e. SharePoint, ICE, Encompass)
- Provide research and recommendations for additional tools or functionality within software systems that will contribute to increased efficiency and improved workflow, implementing solutions approved by senior level management.
- Perform business process design in conjunction with operations, origination, and servicing teams.
- Extract and evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and customize communication of key data findings to diverse audiences based on business need.
- Develop and analyze meaningful daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and other necessary business lines.
- Present detailed analysis to senior level management as needed through discussion and formal presentation.
- Provide service support to Southern Bank mortgage employees initiating contact via assigned business lines.
- Utilize premiere servicing skills to resolve or effectively escalate employee technical concerns. Resolve technical problems via defined procedures, established policies and individual knowledge.

- Work independently with limited supervision and to plan and organize daily work flow.
- Make sound decisions and use good judgment based on authority vested by Director of IT.
- Ability to determine when to act independently and when to refer situations to a higher authority.
Education/Experience requirements:
- A minimum of an associate degree in relative technology field
- 3 to 5 years experience in a previous customer and employee technical systems support role
- Mortgage experience strongly preferred
- Previous mortgage system administration strongly preferred; prior SAS system administration required
- Programming language knowledge preferred (i.e. Javascript, SQL)
- Experience with SharePoint administrative duties a plus
- Diagnostic assessment and analytical thinking abilities
