Music Pastor and Education Job Description :
The worship and education pastor is responsible for the planning, development, and promotion of music / worship and education programs of the church.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Be present for regularly scheduled church services.
- Assist the Pastor in planning worship services.
- Maintain a music library, materials, supplies, and musical instruments.
- Direct and oversee all choirs.
- Facilitate music experiences through Easter / Christmas cantatas.
- Serve as the overseer of the Sunday school, small groups, and Vacation Bible School directors.
- Serve as a music resource for church functions.
- Cooperate with associational, state, and denominational organizations.
- Actively participate in church outreach programs.
- Prepare the annual budget for Music and Education programs and administer the approved budget.
- Be accountable to the Pastor.
Spiritual Prerequisites :
The full-time staff position salary amount will be determined by education and experience.
