Responsibilities
- Improves readiness and resilience for natural disasters, security threats, and other disruptions by providing strategic guidance related to training, exercises, weather forecasting, situational awareness, fire management, business continuity planning, business recovery, and / or related compliance activities
- Designs business resiliency requirements, policies, and frameworks and maintains business recovery plans and procedures
- Develops, improves, and exercises a framework of strategic plans to effectively respond to and manage a range of potential crises types, ensuring the organization's resilience
- Works closely with internal stakeholders across diverse business lines to ensure company personnel can support effective response capabilities across Incident Command System (ICS) functions
- Leads cross organizational teams, including senior and executive leadership to resolve complex policy level issues, often of a controversial nature, to address emerging or changing threats
- Influences process and policy by engaging with emergency management leadership at federal, state, county and city levels on such matters as mitigation / response planning and leading external organizations related to mutual assistance
- Leads emergency response activities on behalf of the Company as necessary, makes decisions regarding escalation of company response posture, and advises senior leadership on matters related to response activities
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
