In this job, you'll manage the ongoing development and maturation of safety programs, such as Safety and Energy Based Observations, ensuring SCE and our contractor partners are working to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities. You will analyze and report the status of corporate goals related to these programs. You will share communications, and help develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, standards, procedures, and processes to protect the health and safety of our employees and contract partners. Responsibilities
- Provides input to safety policy development and implements safety policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
- Creates safety training programs for employees to ensure a safe working environment and works with leaders to ensure compliance with regulations and alignment with company expectations
- Collaborates with leaders, staff, and contractors at all levels to implement effective solutions, overseeing the ongoing cycle of risk management efforts
- Maintains thorough knowledge of current and emerging legislation, regulations and trends related to EHS
- Provides oversight of incident investigations and corrective actions and ensures adequate corrective measures are implemented to prevent a recurrence
- Leads, facilitates and implements project hazard analysis and risk assessment process across the company
- Conducts training and presentations for EHS matters and accident prevention
- Provides oversight and guidance related to hazard identification and risk mitigation
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
