Become a Senior Advisor for Safety Risk Management in the Safety Management System (SMS) department at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for enabling the enterprise to systematically mitigate safety risks that can lead to serious injuries and fatalities.
This position will lead the safety risk management efforts for the SMS team. This role will be critically important to effectively partner with frontline employees, subject matter experts and leaders, to identify safety risks in which mitigations will be developed. This role will be responsible for making strategic recommendations to senior leaders and executives based on risk priority and business need. In addition, the Senior Advisor in this role will lead the integration of the safety risk management process across the enterprise.
The Senior Advisor will have extensive expertise and full knowledge in developing and managing new processes, moderate to complex project planning, the ability to track and synthesize large sets of information to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and leaders.
Efforts this position will be responsible for, but not limited to :
- Facilitating safety risk discussions with frontline employees, leaders, and subject matter experts
- Maintaining the safety risk management procedure documentation
- Managing and tracking a safety risk register, stakeholder teams to develop and execute mitigation plans, and make recommendations to executives
- Leading senior leader approval conversations to implement mitigation plans
This Senior Advisor will also contribute to the broader safety culture transformation, serious injury and fatality elimination and overall injury reduction.
