Become a Vehicle Acquisition Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll you’ll have a critical role in the acquisition of all types of vehicles for the SCE fleet. You’ll create, process, and maintain all vehicle acquisition contracts, requisitions, and active purchase orders for a fleet of almost 7,000 assets. Determine when change orders are required, maintain vehicle delivery schedules, and collaborate with suppliers to determine vehicle build prioritization and options. Troubleshooting contractual invoice issues, overseeing legal registration and licensing requirements for vehicle leasing, the SCE equipment trust, and out of state suppliers. Reviewing, correcting, and approving vehicle invoices for payment. Maintaining accurate master-data for new vehicles and leading the provisioning of company radios for new vehicles. Responsibilities
- Performs in-depth analysis of telemetric data to distil complex data analysis when adhering to ad-hoc investigations. Diagnoses and administers Camera Event Recorder hardware installed in vehicles. Recommends installation instructions, hardware requirements, and life-cycle management plans
- Performs and directs quality assurance and process improvement efforts
- Interacts with business unit leads and customers on fleet vehicle related issues or concerns. Administers PowerAutomate push reports to fleet users with time based and event based triggers
- Distributes scheduled reporting regarding asset utilization, maintenance repair cost, damage cost, mobilization cost, fuel cost, and other key metrics
- Evaluates asset life cycles and ownership costs, making recommendations based on forecasted requirements
- Provides strategic guidance, instruction, and necessary process documentation related to SCE assets and functional services provided
- Evaluates health and safety of fleet by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations by performing audits, providing feedback and trends to leadership.
- Reviews and updates fleet-related data to ensure relevancy and accuracy
- Oversees Generator Services and suppliers to ensure Air Quality compliance, field safety, and contract compliance. Assesses equipment alternatives to optimize performance, cost, emissions, etc. Conducts Teir1 Safety risk field safety assessments of equipment rental companies
- Periodically supports the TSD Rentals 24x7 Duty line and supports corporate IMT efforts
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience working with fleet maintenance systems, fleet management operations and responsibilities.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience with data analysis and contract management.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience with vehicle purchasing contracts.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with macros and database queries.
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Experience in SAP, Ariba and SharePoint
- Gather and analyze information and make sound decisions independently.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
