Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support students in their learning and development. Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students with special education requirements, focusing on behavior management and effective communication strategies.
- Facilitate the learning process for students in various settings, including classrooms, daycare environments, and during outdoor activities.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing strategies that promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed, particularly those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Engage in activities that promote childhood development, including social skills training and academic support.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all learners.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies for effective communication.
- Experience working with students in special education settings or with children on the autism spectrum.
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with daycare environments and toddler care practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student success.
