Job Description
This position is to provide financial services to support the goals and objectives of the Financial Planning and Analysis department of Nicor Gas Company. The focus is on value creation by engaging in analysis, identification of issues, support of the Financial Plan and implementation of strategy with timely and accurate management reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Expertise :
- Assist in maintenance and preparation of the annual budget and forecast.
- Assess financial performance against budget / forecast, including risks and opportunities to budget / forecast.
- Maintain and assist in development of various financial models and tools.
- Support regulatory filings.
- Develop and execute strategies to meet the company's overall financial objectives.
- Develop management presentations to communicate to various financial updates.
- Assist with the development of the company's capital expenditure forecast.
- Participate in the monthly close process including preparation of accruals, journal entries, reconciliations and other closing responsibilities as needed.
