The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest product quality and safety standards in our concrete production facility. This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Work Environment—Plant Setting.
Physical Demands
This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel—Minimal travel is required.

The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest product quality and safety standards in our concrete production facility. This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Functions—Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Pre/post-inspection of all products prior to concrete placement
- Lift and test quality control samples
- Perform/document production test results
- Provide feedback to plant manager to ensure the production process yields product in compliance with specs and requirements
- Assist in the development/refinement of the QC plan
- Ensure concrete raw materials are mixed to provide consistent quality
- Verify that products are loaded and secured properly for transport
- Assist with production as needed to maintain a team atmosphere
- Keep current with NPCA guidelines
- Perform quarterly detailed plant safety inspections
- Repair products that have not met quality specs/requirements
- Keep all records up to date for NPCA yearly audit/ plant certification
Work Environment—Plant Setting.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift to 50lbs.
- Physical requirements include lifting, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, kneeling, and squatting for short periods

Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Concrete Forming/Finishing: 1 year (preferred)
- Quality control: 3 years (preferred)
- Construction: 3 years (preferred)
- High school diploma required, college degree a plus
- Mathematical aptitude required to calculate physical and volumetric property verification
- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician Level 1 a plus
- ACI Aggregate Testing Tech certification is a plus
- Master Precaster graduate with NPCA is a plus
- Must have a good driving record
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant is a plus
- Knowledge of Titan 3000 software
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
