Medical Assistant
Duties:
- Checks patient in/out
- Verify insurance and/or updating demographics
- Scheduling, canceling and rescheduling patients appointment
- Familiar with Microsoft Word
- Scanning
- Promptly answer calls
- Help maintain the waiting room in a neat and orderly fashion
- Knowledgeable on patient statements
- Referrals
- Copying of medical records
- Detail oriented with excellent communication skills'
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urine tests
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient education and counseling
